I’m maryam. A poet, author, and a string artist.

In 2020, I published my book, journey through 99 — An anthology of poems from a lost soul’s journey, trying to find their way to peace, tranquility, and meaning through Allah’s Blessed 99 names. Later that year, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the central nervous system. It causes inflammation in the optic nerve, spinal cord, and/or brain. As a consequence of this condition, I lost my eyesight for days, and if it was not for the mercy of Allah (SWT), I wouldn’t have this blessing today.

It made me think of my forever passion and love for art. I asked myself: “if Allah took my eyesight permanently one day, what is the legacy I want to leave behind? Through my art, I want to shed light on the miraculous beauty of our faith. I want to bring the comfort of Allah’s remembrance to your hearts before your homes.”
