Tasbih / Dhikr Collection

Story:

Subhan-Allah:
A phrase that glorifies Allah is “Allah is free from imperfection” or “Allah is Exalted.”

Alhamdulillah:
A phrase used to show praise and gratitude.

Allahu-Akbar:
Allah is the Greatest. There is nothing else greater or superior to Him.

These praises might seem short, simple, and easy, but they have immense rewards & benefits when it comes to worshiping and remembering Allah (SWT). Creating this set, I wanted these pieces to follow the same theme, simple, easy on the eyes and the heart, soft and neutral. After completing the backgrounds and nailing the nails, I struggled to select the string. I tried an off-white string, but my husband kept telling me that it didn’t show, so I tried brown and black, and although some family members said it was nice, It wasn’t aligning with my vision. Something wasn’t clicking.

After several attempts, I decided to go with a gold string to try and reflect on the significance of these words yet, keeping the theme soft and easy on the eyes. Sometimes you just have to trust your artistic instinct! While this set was still in progress, my mother-in-law saw it and asked to gift it to her mother, who lives in Pakistan — which hit me while writing this post… I have an art set sitting miles away somewhere in Pakistan! Crazy!

I pray that we always strive to increase our good deeds and seek blessings from Allah (SWT) by praising Him frequently.

I will not lie to you. Keeping your faith up and strong despite all life’s hardships is not easy. Sometimes we forget to praise Allah in these times or think that by praising him, we should be there sitting on the prayer mat or in the Masjid or something making duaa, reciting Quran, or something that takes a lot of time and effort. But really, the beauty of our religion is that there are multiple simple ways to worship, increase good deeds, and seek blessings from Allah (SWT). One of those best ways is to recite Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar. These words are short but have immense rewards & benefits.
